AppleBites

AppleBites is a client-facing SaaS platform designed to help business owners assess and understand their company's value through financial data and business value drivers.

I contributed across the product, building full-stack features that connect financial assessments, AI-powered analysis, reporting, payments, consultation booking, and account management into a unified experience.

Business valuation involves collecting financial information, evaluating business-specific factors, interpreting the results, and communicating those findings clearly.

The product needed to turn this process into a guided digital experience while supporting AI-assisted analysis and professional reporting.

I worked across the application to deliver features spanning:

• Financial assessments and data collection
• AI-powered valuation and assessment workflows
• AI Customer Support Microservice
• Generated valuation insights and reports
• PDF report generation
• Stripe payment flows
• Consultation booking
• Account and user management
• Background processing and asynchronous workflows
• Third-party integrations

I worked across both the frontend and backend, connecting React/TypeScript interfaces with Node.js APIs, PostgreSQL data models, external services, and background processing systems.

A significant part of the platform involved integrating AI into real product workflows rather than using an LLM as a standalone chat interface.

One of the systems I built was an AI financial-model generation pipeline that accepts uploaded Excel financial statements, processes them asynchronously, uses Claude for analysis, validates structured output, and generates a downloadable financial workbook.

I also built the AI Assessment experience end-to-end, from the user-facing forms and backend workflow through AI processing and generated PDF reporting.

The result was a full SaaS workflow that brings together financial data, business assessments, AI-assisted analysis, reporting, payments, and professional services in one product.

My work on AppleBites gave me experience building AI-powered functionality within a production application while also handling the backend architecture, integrations, security, and reliability concerns surrounding it.
